Design Project Overview

Global Apparel Company

This project involves the redesign of 12,000 SF of supplementary office space with an IT help desk kiosk. The design also needed to incorporate collaboration and lounge space for casual meetings, ample conference space, and a micro pantry to supply cash and carry take-out. HF Planners provided full interior services for the project. Space planning, finish selections, and construction supervision were all part of the project scope.

The client wanted a neutral look that would not date itself. HF Planners used deep neutrals to provide a warm and rich palette. Energy-efficient LED lighting, along with recycled content materials were specified as part of sustainable design efforts.

The conference room comfortably seats 18 and supports full video conferencing. Acoustic lighting provides ancillary noise reduction while also making a dramatic statement over the conference table. The glass partition connects the room to the space around it.

The entry to this workspace includes a help desk kiosk for employees to bring devices and ask for advice. The kiosk is custom millwork designed by HF Planners. The area is separated from the rear tech benches with laser-cut acoustic felt panels.

Collaboration space for this client meant a place for informal meetings. Once outside the workstation, employees have a place for impromptu brainstorming sessions. Because the workstation design has full privacy acoustic panels, the collaboration space is very open. In this space, HF Planners leverages the natural light from the building’s East face.

The pantry space utilizes silver subway tile and large-scale wallcovering for a “pop” of color in the mostly neutral palette. New solid surface counters and high-gloss laminate cabinetry complete the space.

The private office needed to have dual roles: provide executives with a place to work, and function as a huddle space when the office’s occupant was traveling. HF Planners designed a space that gracefully serves both purposes, with a “T” shaped desk layout and soft seating.
