Part-Time Position

HF Planners LLC has an immediate need for an experienced part-time Senior Project Manager who will take on the management of key client projects with the goal of delivering projects on time, within budget and within scope.  Facilities project scopes will cover office and laboratory renovations/upgrades/modifications, pilot plant installations, large-scale office moves, building core and shell modifications/upgrades, and smaller facility projects of room renovations/change-of-use, utilities and infrastructure upgrades, roadways/parking modification and the like.

The successful candidate will be able to drive a project to completion and brainstorm innovative ways to bring cost-saving ideas or new trends to upper management.

An extensive knowledge of buildings, building systems, audio visual/information technology systems, furniture and furniture systems will be key to ensure project success in on-going operating facilities.


  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects related to labs, office design, and exterior work
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Successfully manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation


  • Educational background, preferably in the fields of Facilities Management or Construction
  • Proven working experience in project management
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Must know building systems
  • Facility related projects, such as maintenance-related, property management, asset management, and space management



  • 7-10 years of experience in project management
  • Have had responsibility for a numerous successful projects including some complex projects
  • Minimum 3 years industry experience
  • Experience in people management
  • Experience in customer service
  • Experience with multiple/site leadership
  • Experience in managing multiple vendors
  • Managing progressively complex initiatives


  • Bachelor's degree / Business economy / Engineering degree / Architecture
  • Formalized project management training and certifications
  • Business analysis training and certifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Lab Coordination Experience
  • Knowledge of project management
  • Must know building systems

Proficiency in the use of computers for:
